Their objectives is to transform the country (Nigeria) into a knowledge-based & IT driven economy. They also have an award for qualified individuals who seek to study master & PhD in a relevant area computer/ information technology ( IT) and IT law obtainable in universities across the country.
The following below are the requirements and qualifications to a suitable candidate for 2019/2020 academic session.
REQUIREMENTS FOR NITDA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
PHD: Lecturer in Universities, Polytechnic, college of education with MSc in any computer/ information technology related field.
MSc: holders of first class or second class (upper) honours Bachelor degree in computer/ information technology any related field and Law.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP
The SCHOLARSHIP is strictly based on merit and selection is equally distributed among.
- The six (6) Geopolitical zones for a LLM and PhD.
- The 36 state of FCT for MSc

The program will run for 12-18 months while the PhD will run for a minimum of 36 months
HOW TO APPLY FOR NITDA SCHOLARSHIP
All the eligible candidate are advised to log on to the scholarship portal (scholarship.nitda.govt.ng) to register and summit all relevant documents please do note that the registration process is six (6) weeks from the date of publication.
NOTE:
A comprehensive computer based aptitude test will be conducted for the award. Only candidate who passed the test will be shortlisted and invited for interview ( which includes a supplementary test, verification of credentials and character evaluation).
